- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 (20 oz.) can pie-sliced apples or 2 1/2 c. sliced baking apples
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 egg yolks or 1 egg
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Cut butter into dry cake mix until crumbly.

3Stir in coconut; pat mixture lightly into 9 x 13-inch pan, building up slight edges.

4Bake 10 minutes.

5Arrange apple slices on warm crust.

6Mix sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle on apples. Blend sour cream and egg yolks.

7Drizzle on apples (topping will not completely cover apples).

8Bake 25 minutes or until edges are light brown (do not overbake).

9Serve warm.
