  • 8 c. thinly sliced apples (3 lb.), tart apple like Granny Smith, etc.
  • 1 orange
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 5 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions

    Wash, pare, core and slice thin the apples.

    Quarter the orange and remove seeds (slice thin).

    Add water and sugar; boil.

    Add lemon and fruit.

    Boil and stir until it thickens.
