  • Apple Pan Cake-
  • 2 cans Apple pie filling
  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs beaten slightly
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup cooking oil
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts-divided
  • Sour cream topping
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp Soda
  • Combine ingredients in a sauce pan.
  • Cook over Med. Heat stirring constantly until mixture comes
  • to a boil. Remove from heat, pour over warm cake.
  • Note: Cherry, Peach, Apricot, Pineapple, filling may be substituted.

    Spread pie filling on bottom of 13X9 pan. Combine flour, sugar,

    soda & salt. Sprinkle over pie filling. In mixing bowl

    combine eggs, vanilla, oil & 1/2C nuts mix well. Pour over

    ingredients in pan. Fold until well blended, smooth batter

    evenly in pan. Bake @ 350o for 40-50 min. Prick warm cake

    w/fork. Pour hot topping over cake sprinkle 1/4 cup nuts.

    Serve warm or cold.
