- 4 to 5 large cooking apples
- lemon juice (optional)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 stick margarine
- 9-inch deep dish pie crust, unbaked
Directions

1Peel, core and slice apples.

2(If apples are very ripe, add lemon juice.)

3Mix 1/4 cup sugar with apple slices.

4Place in unbaked crust.

5Mix 3/4 cup sugar and 1 cup flour together and sprinkle over top of apples evenly.

6Slice margarine into pats and arrange evenly over top of pie.

7Bake on cookie sheet at 350° until light brown.
