Apple Pie

  • 4 to 5 large cooking apples
  • lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 9-inch deep dish pie crust, unbaked

Directions

    Peel, core and slice apples.

    (If apples are very ripe, add lemon juice.)

    Mix 1/4 cup sugar with apple slices.

    Place in unbaked crust.

    Mix 3/4 cup sugar and 1 cup flour together and sprinkle over top of apples evenly.

    Slice margarine into pats and arrange evenly over top of pie.

    Bake on cookie sheet at 350° until light brown.

    (Flour, sugar and margarine form top crust of pie.)
