  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 6 slices bread
  • 1 c. sugar
  • Crisco crust for 9-inch pie (top and bottom crust)
  • 6 large cooking apples
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. sugar or more depending on tartness of apples
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions

    Line pie plate with bottom crust.

    Pare, core and slice apples and place in pastry-lined plate.

    Mix together sugar, flour and cinnamon until it looks like all sugar.

    Sprinkle over sliced apples and shake sugar mixture down into the pie.

    Dot with butter.
