  • 1/4 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cake: BEAT brown sugar, dressing, eggs and buttermilk in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.

    Add combined dry ingredients.

    Stir in apples, raisins and nuts.

    Pour into greased and floured 13x9-inch baking pan.

    Bake at 350F for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Frosting: BEAT cream cheese, butter and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.

    Gradually add powdered sugar, beating well after each addition.
