  • large mixing bowl full of thinly sliced apples, sprinkled with sugar
  • pie crust to cover 9 x 13-inch baking dish and fold over
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Lay pie crust over 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Fill with apples. Fold crust over apples, making a roll.

    Boil together brown sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter.

    Pour over roll and bake in 350° oven until brown and crispy, about 1 hour.

    Baste some while baking.
