- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup regular oats, uncooked
- 1 1/2 cups chopped, peeled apple
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Sifted powdered sugar
Directions

1Cream shortening in a large mixing bowl; gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating well. Add eggs, and beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and spices in a small mixing bowl; gradually add to creamed mixture, stirring well. Stir in next 4 ingredients, mixing well.

2Press mixture into a greased 15- x 10- x 1-inch jellyroll pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Cool; sprinkle with powdered sugar, and cut into 2- x 1-inch bars.
