- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water or milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- bread crumbs
- butter
- apples
- raisins
- sugar
- cinnamon
- 1/2 lemon
Directions

1Combine the first 5 ingredients; let stand in oven 1/2 hour. Add the butter; knead in dough.

2Slap on table several times until it forms blisters.

3Roll dough on cloth from center out; stretch if necessary.

4Brown bread crumbs in a pan with butter until light brown.

5Spread on dough; fill with apples, raisins, sugar and cinnamon.

6Squeeze 1/2 lemon on top.

7Roll into a Strudel.

8Bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes, or until light brown.
