- 1 3/4 c. flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 3/4 lb. apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 c. sugar
- any flavor jelly or jam
Directions

1Combine flour and salt in a medium bowl.

2Cut in butter until crumbly.

3Add 3 tablespoons water, mixing to form ball.

4Let stand in lightly floured cloth for 1 hour.

5Roll until thin on floured surface.

6Line buttered and floured 10-inch pie pan with dough. Cut to fit and prick bottom with fork.

7Arrange apples slightly, overlapping on dough.

8Sprinkle with sugar.

9Bake at 400° for 35 to 40 minutes or until brown.

10Spread jelly over hot apples.
