  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. cornmeal
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. cooked apples
  • cooked and crumbled bacon
  • shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

    Combine milk and butter in saucepan; cook over medium heat until butter melts. Remove from heat; cool to 105° to 115°. Combine yeast and warm water in a 1-cup liquid measuring cup; let stand 5 minutes. Combine yeast mixture, milk mixture and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and chill 8 hours. Stir.
