- 6 large apples
- 1/2 c. apple cider or juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. ginger or allspice
Directions

1Peel and core apples.

2Cut into chunks; put in 3-quart saucepan with apple cider.

3Bring to a boil.

4Reduce heat and cover; simmer 20 minutes or until tender.

5Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.

6Cook 2 minutes longer.

7Mash in the pot (or cool and puree in a food processor).

8Cool, then store in clean jars. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
