  • 1/2 c. melted shortening
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves

Directions

    Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl.

    Sift dry ingredients into another bowl.

    Mix the two mixtures together. Add 1 cup walnuts.

    Pour into greased tube pan.

    Add Topping (recipe follows).

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
