- 1 c. thick applesauce (unsweetened)
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 2 envelopes Knox gelatine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine gelatine with 1/4 cup applesauce.

2Let set 5 minutes. Combine all ingredients, except nuts.

3Boil 5 minutes.

4Add gelatine.

5Boil 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6Add walnuts just before removing from heat.

7Pour into 8 x 10-inch pan that has been buttered and dusted with powdered sugar.

8Let stand until firm.

9Cut into squares and shake in sack of powdered sugar to coat.
