- 1/2 c. butter
- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 12 oz. apricot preserves (1 1/2 c. or more)
Directions

1Cream real butter and cream cheese.

2Add sugar gradually, beating well after each addition.

3Add eggs and beat slightly. Add milk, to which vanilla has been added.

4Blend, then add dry ingredients.

5Spread 1/2 batter into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.

6Spread with apricot preserves.

7Spread rest of batter over this.

8Bake at 350°.

9Top with Lazy-Daisy frosting using real butter for best flavor.

10Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
