- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. orange juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. chopped dried apricots
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly.

2Stir in milk and orange juice.

3Sift dry ingredients together and stir in.

4Blend in nuts and apricots.

5Pour into greased 8-inch loaf pans.

6Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes until toothpick comes out clean (top will crack open).

7Makes two 8-inch loaves.
