  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. peanut oil
  • 3 to 3 1/2 lb. chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 8 cloves garlic (yes 8)
  • 1 to 2 dried hot peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. honey and chopped green onions

    Heat oil in large skillet and brown chicken on all sides, adding garlic and peppers toward the end. Add remaining ingredients and cook over medium-high heat until chicken is done and sauce has reduced, about 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with rice or Chinese noodles. Garnish with green onions.
