- 4 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 c. coarsely crumbled saltines
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 c. hot milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 3 tsp. grated onion
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen asparagus cuts, cooked and drained
Directions

1Line a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with strip of aluminum foil. Butter well.

2Saute crackers in butter until golden brown.

3Combine eggs, milk, salt, pepper and onion.

4Add cooked asparagus and sauteed crackers.

5Pour into prepared pan.

6Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

7Serve as is or with hot chicken gravy, hot cheese sauce or canned mushroom soup, diluted with 1/3 cup milk.
