- 1 loaf white sandwich bread
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 8 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
- melted butter
- 1 can asparagus spears or cooked fresh asparagus
Directions

1Remove crust and flatten bread.

2In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, bacon and lemon zest.

3Spread mixture on bread.

4Place asparagus spear (cut to bread size) on bread and roll.

5Brush with melted butter.

6Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, until toasted.

7They can be cut in half to serve more people.
