Asparagus Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. white vinegar
  • 1 1/8 c. sugar
  • 3 envelopes gelatin
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 small jar pimento pepper
  • 2 tsp. (or more) grated onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. pecan pieces
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 medium can green cut asparagus

Directions

    Mix sugar, water, vinegar and bring to a boil.

    Dissolve gelatin in little more than 1/2 cup cold water and add to boiled mixture which has been removed from cooking.

    Pour into 2 quart oblong casserole dish to cool.

    Can put in refrigerator, but don't allow to congeal.
