  • 2 cups hot cooked hominy grits
  • 1 tablespoon lard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sifted cornmeal

Directions

    Combine hot grits, lard, and salt, stirring until lard is melted. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients, mixing until well blended.

    Pour batter into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
