1Combine hot grits, lard, and salt, stirring until lard is melted. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients, mixing until well blended.

2Pour batter into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 325° for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
