Bacon-Almond Dip

- 1 lb. bacon, chopped
- 2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese with chives (room temperature)
- 1 c. sour cream
- 3 Tbsp. chili sauce
- 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- freshly ground pepper
- 1/4 c. finely chopped green onions
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted
Directions

1In large skillet, cook bacon over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp.

2Drain on paper towels.

3In mixing bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, chili sauce, hot pepper sauce and pepper to taste.

4Add green onions, bacon and almonds and mix until blended, but still chunky.

5This can be kept refrigerated for two days or frozen.

6If frozen, defrost in refrigerator; if dip is too thick, add additional sour cream.
