Bacon Chestnut Roll Ups

  • 2 cans whole water chestnuts (Empress brand)
  • 1 lb. thin bacon, cut in halves
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise

Directions

    Wrap each chestnut with half slice bacon and secure with a round toothpick.

    Bake about 25 minutes at 350° on broiler pan. Remove from oven and drain fat.

    Make sauce from brown sugar, chili sauce and mayonnaise.

    Dip baked roll-ups in sauce and return to oven for 20 minutes.

    Yields about 40 roll-ups.
