Bacon Wrapped Chestnuts

  • 1 lb. bacon strips, cut in half
  • 3 (8 oz.) cans whole water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. ketchup

Directions

    Wrap a piece of uncooked bacon around each chestnut; secure with a toothpick.

    Place in a baking dish.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes, or until bacon is done.

    Drain off the bacon fat.

    Mix the brown sugar and ketchup in a bowl, then pour this mixture over the chestnuts.

    Bake for another 30 minutes.
