- 4 to 6 medium baking apples (Rome, Pippin, Granny Smith)
- 3 Tbsp. chopped nuts
- 1 Tbsp. chopped raisins or currants
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 4 to 6 tsp. honey
- margarine
- 4 to 6 oz. black cherry soda or apple juice
Directions

1Wash the apples, but do not peel them.

2Cut off the tops and remove the cores.

3Place close together in an ovenproof casserole dish.

4Combine the nuts, raisins and cinnamon; fill each apple with this mixture.

5Place a teaspoon of honey on top of each filled apple and top with a bit of margarine.

6Pour the juice around the apples in the casserole.

7Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, basting after the first 15 minutes of baking.
