  • 3 large fresh apricots, pitted and halved
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon brandy

    Preheat oven to 475 degrees.

    Arrange the apricots, cut side up in a small baking dish that will hold them compactly in a single layer.

    Sprinkle with sugar, dot with butter and sprinkle with brandy.

    Place in the oven and bake until they are tender and beginning to brown, about 45 minutes.
