- 1 c. barley, rinsed
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 3 c. chicken broth or 3 c. water and 3 cubes
- 1/2 tsp. dill seed
Directions

1Heat oil in a heavy skillet.

2Add barley.

3Stir until browned. Add onions, broth and dill.

4Bring to a boil and cover.

5Bake at 400° until barley is tender and liquid is absorbed (40 minutes). Fluff with a fork to serve.
