Ingredients

  • 2 cans (1 lb. each) pork and beans
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 bottle chili sauce or 6 Tbsp. catsup
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 slices bacon, cut in half
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except onion and bacon; mix well. Pour into large casserole dish.

    Arrange onion slices on top of beans and bacon on top of onion.

    Bake at 350° about 45 minutes or until bacon looks done and casserole is brown around edges.
