- 2 c. navy beans
- 1/4 lb. bacon or salt pork
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Soak beans overnight in cold water.

2Drain in the morning and add 2 quarts fresh water.

3Cook slowly until the skins burst.

4Fry bacon or salt pork until crisp.

5Add meat and drippings to beans. Add other ingredients and place in a covered casserole.

6Bake at 325° for 3 hours.

7Keep beans covered with liquid while they cook.
