- 2 lb. Navy, Pea or Soldier Beans
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 peeled whole Onion
- 1/2 - 1 lb. lean Salt Pork
- 2 tsp. Dry Mustard
- 1/2 - 2/3 c. dark Molasses
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
Directions

1Soak overnight the beans.

2Parboil until beans begin to foam with Baking Soda.

3Place Onion in bottom of pot.

4Add beans and cover with hot water.

5Stir in the Salt Pork, Dry Mustard, Molasses and Salt.

6Mix and bake for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
