Ingredients

  • 2 lb. (4 c.) navy beans
  • 12 c. water
  • 4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. dark molasses
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 3/4 c. dark brown sugar (I use 1/2 c.)
  • 1/4 lb. chopped bacon
  • 1 small onion, chopped

Directions

    Soak beans overnight in cold water and drain.

    Cook beans in water and salt until tender.

    Place in baking pan.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Bake for 4 hours at 300°.
