- 4 c. dry navy beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
Directions

1Soak beans overnight and drain.

2Cover with fresh water. Simmer slowly.

3Add three beef bouillon cubes.

4Cook sufficiently. Drain and add onion, sugar, ketchup, mustard, salt, Worcestershire and 3 bouillon cubes dissolved in boiling water. Place in greased casserole.

5Bake, covered, in very slow oven for 6 to 8 hours.

6Uncover last hour of cooking.

7Add more water, if needed.
