- 1/2 lb. sauteed bacon or 1/2 lb. salt pork
- 8 Tbsp. sugar
- 2/3 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. dry mustard
- 4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 medium size onion
- 1 1/2 qt. water
Directions

1Soak beans overnight. In the morning, parboil them for 10 minutes with a teaspoon of baking soda.

2Then run cold water through the beans in a colander.
