  • 1 c. dried beans
  • 1/8 lb. salt pork
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. white sugar

Directions

    Soak beans overnight or boil for 1 hour before baking.

    Place in beanpot.

    Add ingredients. Fill with water to about 1-inch above beans. Bake at 275° for about 9 to 10 minutes. Check water occasionally (may substitute 2 tablespoons cold bacon grease for salt pork). Make sure to check beans for small rocks and wash them before cooking.
