  • 4 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Combine eggs, sugar and salt.

    Bring milk to scalding and stir into egg mixture.

    Add vanilla and pour into custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Place cups in pan of hot water.

    Bake in slow oven at 325° until mixture does not adhere to a knife blade, about 30 minutes.
