Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • dash of salt
  • 2 c. skim milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Beat eggs slightly; add sugar and salt.

    Scald milk until crinkly film forms on top.

    Stir in egg mixture gradually.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour into custard cups or baking dish; set in pan of hot water.

    Sprinkle nutmeg on top.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes until knife inserted comes out clean.

    Remove from pan of water. Serve cool or chilled.
