Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
- 1 (16 oz.) can sliced pears
- 1 (16 oz.) can pineapple chunks
- 1 (16 oz.) can apricot halves
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. walnuts, broken
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 lb. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 5 slices white bread, toasted
Directions

1Drain peaches, pears and pineapple in a colander.

2Drain apricots and keep separate from other fruit.

3Put all fruit except apricots in a large bowl.

4Add raisins, walnuts, 1/2 cup brown sugar and vanilla.

5Mix lightly.

6Pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan and place apricots evenly on top.

7Cut toasted bread slices into 1/2-inch squares and place on top.

8Pour melted butter and balance of brown sugar over entire mixture.

9Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.

10Serves 8 to 10 people.
