  • 1 1/2 c. quick grits
  • 6 c. water
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 3 tsp. savory salt
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 10 or 12 dashes Tabasco (optional)
  • 1 tsp. paprika, sprinkled on top

Directions

    Cook grits in water until thick.

    Stir in everything except eggs.

    Add eggs when cool.

    Put in 8 x 12-inch pan.

    Sprinkle paprika on top.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
