- 1 cup basmati rice (uncooked)
- 8 cups milk (we use low fat)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions

1Preheat oven to 160 degrees celsius.

2Rinse rice until water runs clear.

3Combine all ingredients in a large oven casserole dish.

4Cook uncovered in oven for 2 hours.

5Raise oven temperature to 180 degrees celsius and cook for 1 hour more.

6Serve with vanilla ice cream.
