Baked-Tomato Spaghetti

- 12 medium, firm, ripe Roma tomatoes
- salt and pepper
- 3 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 1 lb. dry spaghetti
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. fresh or 2 Tbsp. dry basil
- grated Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Cut tomatoes lengthwise and place, cut side up, in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

3Mix garlic, 1/3 cup parsley and 2 tablespoons olive oil.

4Pat mixture over cut side of tomatoes.

5Drizzle 2 tablespoons oil over tomatoes.

6Bake at 425° until browned on top, 60 to 70 minutes.
