- 4 venison chops
- baking soda
- dash of salt and pepper
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 4 onion rounds
- 4 green pepper rings
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Soak chops in baking soda water for 2 hours.

2Drain meat; season with salt and pepper.

3Roll in flour, then brown in shortening.

4Place chops in baking dish; put one slice onion and pepper on each chop.

5Add water and cover.

6Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
