  • 1 lb. pkg. phyllo (filo) pastry
  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 lb. walnuts, chopped fine (2 c.)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. honey
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

    Thaw pastry and separate into thirds.

    Place 1/3 in greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.

    Brush sheet with melted butter.

    Combine nuts, sugar and cinnamon.

    Sprinkle 1/2 over buttered pastry; repeat 1/3 dough and butter each sheet.

    Cut into 2 inch diamonds.

    Bake at 400° until brown and crisp, 30 to 35 minutes.
