  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
