- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- dash of salt
- 2 c. milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 45 vanilla wafers, divided
- 5 or 6 ripe bananas, sliced
Directions

1In top of double boiler, combine sugar, flour and salt. Blend with dry ingredients the milk; stirring constantly, add egg yolks.

2Cook 10 to 12 minutes, then add vanilla.

3Spread a small amount of custard on bottom of 1 1/2-quart casserole.

4Cover with layer of wafers and layer of bananas.

5Cover with 1/2 of custard; repeat for 3 layers.
