Banana Split Cake

  • 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs, unbeaten
  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 4 or more bananas, sliced lengthwise
  • 13 1/2 oz. whipped cream topping (or whipped cream)
  • 1 c. or more walnuts
  • maraschino cherries

Directions

    Mix graham cracker crumbs and butter together and press into a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Beat confectioners sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla on high for 20 minutes.

    Do not underbeat.

    Spread over crust.

    Add pineapple and bananas.

    Top with whipped cream, walnuts and cherries.

    Chill one hour or more.

    May be served with chocolate sauce if desired.
