Banananana Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 2 1/2 c. mashed bananas
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    In a large bowl, mix first 5 ingredients. With pastry blender, cut in margarine.

    With fork, stir in bananas and eggs. Stir in nuts.

    Spread batter in greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on rack.
