Ingredients

  • 10 sausages (I used beer soaked sausages)
  • 8 red potatoes
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup half & half
  • 2 tsp crushed/minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp steak seasoning
  • 3/4 tsp powdered garlic
  • 1 tbsp coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp peppercorn (ground)

Directions

    Coat grill grates with cooking oil.

    Syeam or boil potatoes until fork-tender.

    Add minced garlic while steaming potatoes.

    Heat grill to 375F.

    Cook sausages 10 minutes each side or until they look right to you.

    Mash potatoes over the butter, ensuring it mixes in.

    I used an apple corer because I don't own a masher and it worked gorgeously.

    Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

    Potatoes should be a little chunky; this is supposed to be a rustic meal.

    Plate potatoes.

    Add sausages on top right off the grill.

    I paired a Cabernet Savignon with the meal, but a stout or an Irish red would pair quite nicely.
