Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cans chicken gumbo soup
  • 1 large green pepper, cut into large pieces
  • 1 small can tomato paste (for thicker barbecue add an extra can)
  • 2 cans mushrooms (pieces and stems)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. catsup
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 large onion, cut into big pieces

Directions

    Brown the ground beef, then drain well.

    Add the pepper and onion and saute with the meat.

    Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.

    Serve on buns.
