Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 (3 oz.) cans pork and beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can red beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can lima beans
  • 1/2 lb. sliced bacon, chopped into pieces, cooked and drained
  • 1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

    In a Dutch oven cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender.

    Drain fat.

    In a colander, drain one can of the pork and beans, kidney beans, read beans and lima beans.

    Place in the Dutch oven all the beans, the bacon, the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, liquid smoke, salt and pepper.

    Cover and bake in 350° oven about 1 hour or until thoroughly heated.
