Barbecue Beef Brisket

Ingredients
- 1 (6 to 8 lb.) beef brisket
- 1/4 c. liquid smoke
- 2 tsp. tenderizing salt
- 2 tsp. onion salt
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 c. brown sugar
- bottled barbecue sauce
Directions

1Pierce meat all over with a large fork, both sides.

2Place in large roasting pan.

3Sprinkle meat with tenderizing salt and liquid smoke.

4Combine onion, salt, pepper, garlic salt and paprika, then sprinkle over meat.

5Cover entire top of meat with brown sugar. Cover pan with foil.

6Roast in slow oven (325°) for 22 to 25 minutes per pound.

7Remove from pan and let stand 1/2 hour.

8Before slicing, skim fat from pan juices; combine juices with an equal amount of barbecue sauce.

9Heat and serve with meat.
